- Introduction to the topic
- Review of the legal concepts of Good Samaritan
- Proper assessment (of scene and victim)
- How to respond if a Bleeding control kit is NOT available including direct manual pressure.
- How to respond if a Bleeding control kit IS readily available including use of a commercial tourniquet and wound packing with direct manual pressure.
- Some classes may review the use of an improvised tourniquet (as an optional topic)
- Actions after the bleeding stops.
