eLearning PEC Pipeline Connect

Veriforce's Pipeline Connect is a safety orientation for workers in the pipeline industry who have already completed the SafeLandUSA 2021 Basic course. It is designed to build on the safety information students previously learned in the SafeLandUSA 2021 Basic program by providing them with specific safety information for pipeline operations. The successful completion of Pipeline Connect after completing SafeLandUSA 2021 Basic allows students to receive credit for Veriforce's Basic Pipeline Orientation.

Veriforce's New Pipeline Connect is a safety orientation for workers in the industry who have already completed Veriforce's Basic Orientation 7.0. It is designed to build on the safety information students previously learned in the Basic Orientation Version 7.0 program by providing them with specific safety information for pipeline operations.

Upon completion of the course, all students are issued a digital PEC ID card with their name, company name, picture, barcode, and completed course. All students are automatically entered into PEC’s Advanced Training Tracker where your company’s clients and auditors can view proof of employee orientation.

 

 

Course Objectives

  1. Explain how to interact with the media, public, and the landowners.
  2. Describe the hazards and control measures regarding asbestos and benzene.
  3. Explain the various safety factors involved when working around heavy equipment.
  4. Describe the hazards and control measures for disturbance activities and other excavation methods.
  5. Describe the hazards and control measures for pipeline construction activities.
  6. Explain operator qualification and its requirements.
  7. Describe the precautions that should be taken when working alone.
  8. Describe the hazards and control measures for purging, line breaking, hot tapping, and pigging.
 

Prerequisites

Prior to taking the PEC Pipeline Connect course students must have a valid PEC ID number from completing a Safe Land USA course.
